Bready Park is one of Herndon’s hidden treasures! It’s not as well-known as it should be, so get out there and explore. This park is located in the town of Herndon directly off main road (Access Road) near the intersection of New Market and Kingstowne Roads. This beautiful little park has a gorgeous pond, gazebo, walking trails and plenty of places to stop for a picnic with family and friends. In fact, the whole experience here makes you feel like you have stepped into an old-fashioned country town in Virginia. If you love great food then this must be your place.
Bready Park is located off of New Market Road in Herndon, VA. If you’re coming from DC or Northern Virginia, this is a nice drive. If you’re coming from Arlington, grab I-66 East toward DC/Baltimore. After about 20 minutes, you’ll come to I-66 East/US 29 North. Take US 29 North for about 8 miles and you’ll see Bready Park on your right.
There are plenty of parking spots at Bready Park. The best spots are along the side of the road and across from the gazebo. If you’re arriving by foot or by bike, there are two entrances. If you’re walking, head to the right-hand side of the road. If you’re driving, park on the side of the road.
