St. John’s Church is one of the oldest churches in the country, and the Sterling Presbyterian Church is another. Along with a handful of other historic landmarks, the churches are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You’ll also find the Civil War-era cannon and the Harper’s Ferry National Historic Site, which is where the town’s namesake first set foot in 1811.
